James Greenwood

GREENWOOD James Gray Greenwood, age 75, of Cincinnati, passed away peacefully March 27, 2012. He is survived by his loving wife of 55 years, Joan, and children, James David Greenwood, Laura Lynn (John) Buchanan, Lisa Rose (Tim) Hester, Micah Stuart (Tamika) Greenwood and Leslie Diane Mayer; seven grandchildren Shane, Kylie, and Keegan Solnosky, Satin and Samantha Greenwood, & Tara and Hannah Mayer; and sister, Rosemary (Tom) McCall, and several nieces and nephews. He passed in the comfort of his own home surrounded by close family after a battle with lung cancer. His lifelong career involving engineering and architectural design led to a passion for finding form and structure, always seeking solutions for improvement. His mind never stopped, his desire to learn relentless, even in retirement continuing in a new profession, picking up the guitar and developing culinary skills. His love and knowledge of classic rock, old movies, war planes and Marilyn Monroe memorabilia characterized the unique man that we all love and embrace. Mass of Eternal Rest will be held 10am, Tuesday, April 3rd, at Saint Gabriel Church on Sharon Road in Glendale.Immediately following Mass, you are cordially invited to gather with family for lunch at The White House Inn on Mulhauser Road.
