James Dinwiddie

d. October 26, 2020

James R. Dinwiddie (Jim) passed away October 26, 2020 at the age of 74.
Jim is survived by his loving wife of 54 years, Carolyn nee Cooper and his daughters, Tina (Rob) Heintzman, Sheila (Jeff) Parker-Schmitt, Teresa (Jason) Dinwiddie-Herrmann, seven grandchildren, Logan, Griffin, Preston, Hope, Lacey, Yvonne and Josephine as well as brother Paul (Connie)Dinwiddie, sister Laverne (Tom) Diesel, as well as many nieces, nephews and special great nieces and nephew. Preceded in death by his mother Matilda and father David.  After thirty plus years of working at Avon Products, Jim retired and worked as a car salesman while spending most weekends on a lake doing what he loved most - fishing! Jim was an avid gardener and fisherman. He was a key member of the Brookville Lake Anglers and for many years chaired their annual free fishing derby for kids. Jim knew where the fish were biting and was well known for his success on the lake and his famous beer battered bluegill. His children and grandchildren were blessed with many years fishing and creating memories of a lifetime. He was one proud grandparent who sat in bleachers of football and baseball stadiums, gymnasiums, as well as dance recital and theatre seats. He was a dedicated family man who cherished family traditions. The love he had for his wife was truly something special. Jim will be greatly missed by many family and friends.
