ArmyWWIICONROYJames D., devoted husband of the late Mary Louise Conroy. Died November 28, 2010, surrounded by his children. He was born in Norwich, New York, February 18, 1925. Father of James D. Conroy, Robert (Shirley) Conroy, Donald Conroy, Paul (Ann) Conroy, and MaryAnn (Mark) Stewart. He was preceded in death by daughter, Elizabeth, and sons, Stephen and David, brothers, Francis and Edwin. He is survived by his sister, Margret, and brothers, John Patrick, William, and Robert, brother-in-law, Fr. Robert Stricker and sister-in-law, Joan Stricker. He is mourned by many grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Jim was a veteran of WWII and a graduate of Rochester Institute of Technology, and a 40 year employee of GE Evendale. He was a devoted parishioner of Holy Trinity Parish for 60 years, where he was active in a wide variety of charitable activities; St.Vincent de Paul, Parish Council, a charter member of the Cincinnati Cystic Fibrosis Chapter, and a scout master of the Boy Scouts. His sense of humor and super handyman abilities will be sorely missed. Visitation at Vorhis & Ryan Funeral Home, 5501 Montgomery Rd., Norwood, Friday, December 3, 2010 from 5-8 PM. Additional visitation at Holy Trinity Catholic Church, Drex Ave. & Montgomery Rd., Norwood, Saturday, December 4, 2010 from 9 AM until time of Mass of Christian Burial at 10 AM.
