UNITED STATES NAVY VETERAN
ALBERS, James Kenneth passed away peacefully, on Saturday, May 8th at 84 years of age.
Ken is sadly missed by his devoted daughter Christina (Bill) Thomas, and loving granddaughters Hanna Thomas and Molly Thomas. Husband of the late Rita Albers. Dear brother of Joyce Sewell and the late, Pat (Harry) Esterman, Roger (Carol) Albers & Myra Albers. Also survived by many nieces and nephews
He was born in Cincinnati, went to St. Xavier High School, and graduated from Xavier University. Ken was a kind and gentle soul that enjoyed spending time with his daughter and her family. He was a very giving man and always made sure his daughter and granddaughters were taken care of. He was a regular customer at Mac’s Pizza Pub where he socialized, enjoyed lunch with friends and family, and always drank a beer while watching The Price is Right. Ken was also known to not miss the nightly Wheel of Fortune episodes and his weekend visits to the Legion. He was also a very intelligent man who loved to go to the library and read, watch war and action movies, and continuously learn new things. He had started a few of his own businesses where he was successful and treasured by all.
Ken’s outgoing and fun personality led to many memories made with friends and family who loved and enjoyed him. Ken, Kenney, JK, were what he was called by all, but Dad and Grandpa were the ones that meant the most. He will be missed by many and has truly impacted our lives. May he rest in peace, not be forgotten, and watch over his daughter and granddaughters until we meet again.
