LLEWELLYNCPO (Ret.) Jack H. Beloved husband of 62 years to Edith (nee Williams) Llewellyn. Devoted father of Debbie and Janice. Son of the late John and Nellie Llewellyn. Went to be with his Lord on Monday, February 23, 2009 at the age of 86. Born in West Pittston, PA. Mr. Llewellyn joined the Navy in 1942 and retired after 20 years of Active Duty. Upon retiring from the Navy, he became facilities manager for The E. W. Scripps Company coordinating office management functions at Scripps Howard's newspapers and broadcast stations nationwide and at the corporate office in Cincinnati, Ohio. He also led Boy Scout Troop 194, Pleasant Ridge, Ohio, receiving the Silver Beaver Award. Jack had a rich life, enjoying fishing, nature, and his family and friends. He never met a stranger and was known for helping anyone in need. He was happiest in the service of others and loved by many. Jack will be greatly missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him. The family would like to thank Vorhis & Ryan Funeral Home who arranged Military Funeral Services at Dayton National Cemetery, Dayton, Ohio. All services were private. Flowers gratefully declined.
