STROM, Herbert Eric. Beloved husband of the late Vera M. (nee Nelson) Strom. Devoted father of Bob (Sandy) Strom. Loving grandfather of Steve (Kara) Strom and Alison Strom. Dear brother of the late Lillian Walker. Also survived by many nieces & nephews. Preceded in death by his parents.
Herb was born on August 28,1914 to Erik & Nanny (nee Sand) Strom. He graduated from Mission High School in San Francisco and attended U.C. Berkeley & Stanford. He went into business for Strom & Smith Electrical Contractors. Herbert enlisted in the United States Army during WWII. He served in “D” Day on Omaha Beach, and participated in the Battle of the Bulge.
Herb was active in the Swedish Community. He was president of the S.A.P.L., president of the Sveadal Club, member of Fylgia Lodge, and served in many Electrical Code Communities.
Herbert passed away on Sunday, December 31, 2017 at the age of 103 years
