WATKINS, Helen P. (nee Peters). Helen passed away on April 30, 2024. She was born in Toledo, Ohio on April 12, 1930 to Ray and Iva Peters; the second of their three daughters. Her early years were spent in Gibsonburg, Ohio; but in 1945 her family moved to Bellefontaine, Ohio where Helen graduated from high school. She went to Ohio State and graduated with a degree in psychology in 1952. Marriage to her high school classmate, Robert Watkins followed, and it was to last for 71 years and produce two sons, Mark and Jim. Her husband and sons, sister Margaret; three grandsons, Liam, Luke, and Jamie; and numerous nieces and nephews survive her.
Helen was a warm, vital woman who was much loved by her friends and family members.
Memorial Service will be held at Maple Knoll Village Chapel, 11100 Springfield Pk., Springdale, OH 45246 on Saturday, June 1, 2024 at 2PM.
