Harry Rigney

Harry W. Rigney, beloved husband of Virginia (Ginger) (nee Osberg) Rigney for 67 years of marriage. Loving father to James and Janette, grandfather to Elizabeth, Raymond, and Virginia, great grandfather to Jonathan and Mallory, and Papa to many. Harry passed away peacefully on January 15th, 2016 at the age of 87 surrounded by family. Harry was born to Harry and Stella Rigney on September 24th, 1928. Harry served in the United States Navy and after eight years of service went on to becoming an electrical engineer. Harry’s interests and life-long passions included; cheering for his grandchildren at swim meets, tutoring in math, riding roller coasters, home improvement, and enjoying hearty meals and festive drinks with his family and friends. Despite his age, Harry’s love of adventure never wavered. Harry’s family, especially his grandchildren and great grandchildren, were the center of his life. Visitation will occur at Christ Church Glendale (965 Forest Avenue, Cincinnati, 45246) on Friday, January 22nd at 11 AM. Funeral services will begin at the same location at 12:30 PM. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Latino Ministries (Latino Ministry DSO, 412 Sycamore Street, Cincinnati, Ohio 45202) , an organization Harry valued for their tutoring and outreach to the Latino community.
