STEELE, Gerald Thomas, of Florence, KY. Passed away on Thursday, February 9, 2017 at St. Elizabeth Hospital, at the age of 78 years. Beloved husband of 50 years, to Louise (nee Combs) Steele. Dear brother of Rodney (Janice) Steele. Uncle of Michael Steele and Chanin Dance. Also survived by numerous other relatives and close friends. He was born June 24, 1938 in Cincinnati, Ohio to Donna and Sherman Steele. He was preceded in death by his parents. Gerry was employed by the DuPont Company in Wilmington, DE for many years as a Project and Design engineer until his retirement from DuPont. He joined Day and Zimmerman thereafter, where he worked several years in Project Management before relocating to the Cincinnati, Ohio area. He was a "history buff" and remained active during retirement, especially involved in the Norwood, Ohio Historical Society.  Visitation will be held at Vorhis & Ryan Funeral Home, 5501 Montgomery Rd., Norwood, OH 45212 on Tuesday, February 14, 2016 from 6:00 PM - 8:00 PM. Funeral service will be held on Wednesday, February 15, 2017 at 11:00 AM at the funeral home. Entombment to follow in Arlington Memorial Gardens.
