MARTINFreida Mae, beloved daughter of the late Edward and Cora (nee Price) Martin; dear sister of the late Kenneth Martin. Survived by many cousins. Freida attended Lockland Public Schools K-12 and graduated from Miami University, Oxford, Ohio. She was an elementary teacher in Colerain Township (now the Northwest School District) for four years and an elementary and primary teacher at Lockland Public Schools (Alma Mater) for 35 years until retirement. Freida was a member of The Delta Kappa Gamma Society International, an honorary society for women educators; Past President of Beta Nu Chapter Chapter and has served on committees at the state level; Life member of Ohio Retired Teachers Association and also served a two-year term as trustee; Past President of the Hamilton County Retired Teachers Association and a life member. Freida was a devoted member of Lockland Christian Church. She served as an organist and pianist for 46 years, a member of numerous committees, and worked in various areas of children's Christian education for 56 years. She wrote a Teacher's Manual for Standard Publishing Company, several articles for Christian publications, and lesson plans for a Vacation Bible School Beginner Program.Freida participated in fund-raising projects for Mason Christian Village. She was co-chair of the Program Committee for the "Over 55 Fun Bunch" at Mason Christian Village from 1998-2000. Went to be with the Lord on Thursday, June 16, 2011. Friends may call at Lockland Christian Church, 231 Mill St., Tuesday, June 21, 2011 from 9:00 AM until time of service at 11:30 AM. Memorial donations may be made to the church.
