CLARENTON, Edward Joseph. Age 87, passed away on December 29, 2016. Brother of Bernard Gott and Mary Alice Schulte (deceased); father of Joseph, Gerry, John, Douglas, Elizabeth, James and Julie; survived by 10 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren. Ed was known for his love of the outdoors, animals, square dancing, and fishing, although in recent years he gave up fishing, stating that he felt sorry for the fish. A memorial gathering will be held on Monday, January 2, 2017 from 2 to 4pm at Vorhis and Ryan Funeral Home, 5501 Montgomery Rd., Norwood, Ohio 45212. Memorial donations may be made to the ASPCA or the Red Cross.
