BENEDICT, Dorothy C. (nee Hall). Beloved wife of the late Dow Benedict, Jr. who preceded her in death in 1987. Devoted mother of Robert (Madeleine) Benedict, Kathleen (Stephen) Brinkman, Patricia Tanner, the late Sharon (Jeffrey) Johnson, and the late Karen Benedict. Loving grandmother of Gregory (Erica) Meyer, Amy (Anthony) Lana, Kenneth (Melinda) Benedict, Thomas (Michelle) Sturgeon, Ellen (Nicholas) Pitstick, Christopher Johnson, Andrew (Sarah) Tanner, Elizabeth (Ryan) Morrow, and Jessica Benedict. Great grandmother of 13. Cherished daughter of the late Joseph D. and Clara (nee Brutscher) Hall. Preceded in death by son-in-law, Jeffrey Johnson; daughter-in-law, Jean Benedict; and siblings, Joseph Hall, Fr. Ralph Hall, Ruth Dornbusch, Marie Middleton, Evelyn Hummeldorf, and Edward Hall.  

Dorothy passed away on Sunday, January 12, 2025. Dorothy's 99 years of life encompassed times of great happiness as well as great loss. She loved to travel, garden, and read; her interest in the world never waned. She enjoyed her many friends and a good game of bridge. Love for her family transcended and shaped her life. To her family and friends, she was an unwavering beacon of strength and inspiration. She is already missed.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held at Our Lady of the Rosary Church, 17 Farragut Ave., Greenhills, OH 45218 on Saturday, January 18, 2025 at 10AM.

Burial will follow in Gate of Heaven Cemetery.
