Donald F. Newman, 81, of Montgomery, OH, passed away on Thursday, May 14, 2015, at Bethesda North Hospital.
Don was the devoted husband of Donna (nee Euton) Newman for 57 years. He was a loving father to Randy (Lisa) Newman of Brooksville, KY; Stephanie (Bryant) Caldwell of Liberty Township, OH; Crystal (Mark) Harper of Montgomery, OH, and Shaun (Lisa) Newman of Nashville, TN. He had 11 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Wilbur and Carrie Newman and his brother Paul Edwin Newman of West Union, OH.
Don is survived by his sister JoAnn (Leslie) Hall and his brother Carroll (Judy) Newman, both of West Union, OH.
Don was an electrician for Procter & Gamble where he worked for 36 years. A Navy veteran who loved both his country and his Lord, Don lived life with a servant's heart. He served as a church board member, choir member, and Sunday school teacher in the Church of the Nazarene.
His interests included watching the Cincinnati Reds and Bengals, wood-working, gardening and southern gospel music.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, May 19, 2015, from 4:00 PM - 7:00 PM followed by a service to celebrate his life at 7:00 PM at Springdale Church of the Nazarene, 11177 Springfield Pike, Cincinnati, OH, 45246.
A private graveside service will be held on Wednesday, May 20, 2015, at Rest Haven Memorial Park in Evendale.
