Donald Geehring

GEEHRINGDonald R., beloved husband of the late Ryntha P. Geehring (nee Hyslop), dear father of James H. (Deborah), Randall P., Kristen A., cherished grandpa of Christopher R. (Nicole). Tuesday, February 15, 2011 at age 92. Don, to his friends, Sack, to his family, graduated from the University of Alabama. While there, he joined Alpha Sigma Phi. He then completed his Master's in aeronautical engineering at MIT. He retired from the Navy as Commander, and continued his career with General Electric, retiring after 25 years as Sales Director Commercial Jet Engines. An accomplished artist, Don was a member of the Cincinnati Art Club. He was an active athlete who loved golf, tennis, and sailing. Also an avid traveler, his business and personal trips spanned the globe. A Celebration of Life will take place at Ascension and Holy Trinity Episcopal Church on Burns Ave., Wyoming, Monday, February 21, 2011 at 1:00 pm. Please, no flowers.
