US Air ForceBRUMMETTDewey Dearl, a longtime resident of Norwood, Ohio, passed away on October 21, 2012 at the age of 69. He was born in Cardinal, KY to the late Dewey and Nancy Brummett. He is survived by his loving wife Cheryl (nee Gravenstein) Brummett; his children John and Nancy Brummett of Reidsville, NC, Melissa and David Lynch of Richmond, VA, and Keith and Christa Brummett of Reidsville, NC; grandchildren Jacob, Mary and Ryan Lynch, and Keith Brummett, Jr.; his beloved brothers and sisters Evelyn Clark, Gretchel and Ray Christian, Brenda and Bill Ebel, Teddy Wayne and Kathy Brummett, and Eddie Dane and Beth Brummett. He was preceded in death by his his brother Fred Brown and brother-in-law Harvey Clark. Dewey will be dearly missed as well by his many beloved nieces, nephews, family, and friends throughout the country. He was a faithful member of the Zion Baptist Church in Dry Ridge, KY and often visited the Grace Fellowship Baptist Church in Elmwood, Ohio. He was an honorably discharged veteran of the United States Air Force and a contributing member of the American Legion Post 400 in Topeka, KS. He wiil always be remembered as a peaceful and caring man who enjoyed hunting, fishing, watching Kentucky Wildcats basketball and spending time with his family.Visitation at Vorhis & Ryan Funeral Home, 5501 Montgomery Rd., Norwood, OH on Wednesday, October 24, 2012 from 6:00-9:00 PM.
