RAKEL, David Anthony. Beloved husband of Joan (nee Wind) Rakel. Cherished father of Beth, Annie, and Katie Rakel. Dear brother of Julie (Jerry) Meyer, Francine (Roger) Weigand, and Ted (Maureen) Rakel. Proud ND grad, scientist, loving friend, and forever our hero. David passed away on Monday, June 5, 2017 at the age of 65 years. Visitation will be held at Vorhis & Ryan Funeral Home, 11365 Springfield Pk., Springdale, OH 45246 on Friday, June 9, 2017 from 6:00 PM - 8:00 PM. Mass of Eternal Rest will be held at St. Gabriel Church, 48 W Sharon Rd., Glendale, OH 45246 on Saturday, June 10, 2017 at 10:00 AM. Burial will follow at Oak Hill Cemetery.
