Daniel McLane

d. August 15, 2022

Daniel Perrine McLane, 61, passed away in his Bell Canyon, CA home on August 15, 2022. Dan was born in Cincinnati, Ohio on May 22, 1961, to Richard Perrine McLane and Olla Alice McLane (née Courtney). A Celebration of Life will be held at his home in Bell Canyon on August 27, 2022, followed by a private funeral service and interment in Cincinnati on September 2, 2022.

Dan was a brilliant engineer and businessman, and loved his work. He graduated from Purdue University in 1983 with a degree in Mechanical Engineering, and then went on to earn his Master’s Degree from UCLA in 1988. He founded several companies including Innovative Integration and most recently Phase Margin, Inc. However, his proudest accomplishment is undoubtedly his loving family. Dan was married to his best friend, Jaishree, for 32 adventure-filled years of travel, concerts, and family time. They have two children, Ian and Meera, both of whom graduated from Johns Hopkins University, and he was seldom seen without his beloved Hopkins sweatshirt in recent years, worn with immense pride. Dan was an avid runner, a history buff, and a Turner Classic Movie lover. He will be remembered by all for his generous spirit, humorous personality, and his deep commitment to his friends and family.

Dan is survived by his wife and children, and his brother, Richard (Dave) McLane, his sister-in-law, Deborah (Debbie) McLane and their children, Richard McLane and Alyson King.

In lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate donations made to the newly-founded Daniel Perrine McLane Memorial Fund, allowing his legacy of providing for children in need to carry on in his memory. The funds will be donated to the town of San Juan Bautista in the Suchitepequez Department of Guatemala, to provide educational resources, food, and clothing to the children of the town. Dan previously provided educational funds for college-level education in Guatemala and had planned a trip to San Juan Bautista later this year.
