Clifford Yetter

Clifford Wayne Yetter passed away peacefully at his home on July 16th, 2019 in Cincinnati, Ohio at the age of 63.

He is survived by his wife, Caron Yetter (nee Johnson), daughter Beth (Jason) Monday, son Chris (Jessica) Yetter, and their 6 grandchildren: Jessica, Erica, Charissa, Jeremiah, Abby, and Alice. He is also survived by his sister, Kim (Steve) Price and their children: Katie and Austin; as well as a loving extended family, the Martins.

Wayne, as he was often referred to, was born on June 17th, 1956 in Cincinnati, Ohio to Clifford Norbert Yetter and Clara Joyce Coffey. He graduated from Walnut Hills High School in 1974 and married Caron Johnson on April 5th, 1975. He began his 43-year career with Zumbiel Packaging and moved to Golf Manor, where he and Caron raised their two children, Beth and Chris. Wayne was an active member of community athletics, excelling at both bowling and softball. He instilled a love of sports and sense of community in his children, serving as a coach for both of their youth sports programs, as well as a long time Scout Leader for his son’s Boy Scout Troop. He was a diehard Ohio State fan and could be found every Saturday in the fall yelling at his television, good or bad, and he famously didn’t disown his son Chris when he decided to be a Michigan fan.

Wayne had a special relationship with his grandchildren, never missing an opportunity to attend their plays, recitals, confirmations, games, and communions over the years. His presence in their audiences will be sorely missed.

Services for Wayne will be held on Monday, July 22nd, 2019 at Vorhis & Ryan Funeral Home, 5501 Montgomery Rd., Norwood, Ohio 45212. Visitation will begin at 10:30AM followed by a service at 12:30PM. Wayne will be interred at St. Mary’s Cemetery at 2PM. In lieu of flowers, the family welcomes donations to Crossroads Hospice, who were of excellent help and support to his family at the end of his time. Their donation information is provided below.
