Charles Shorter

Charles “Mike” Shorter, 88, passed away on Tuesday, November 24, 2015. Beloved husband of Maxine Shorter (nee Combs) of 69 years. Loving father of Juanita (Cecil) Woodward, James Shorter, Patricia (Jerry) Stall, Charles E. (Robin) Shorter, Wanda Human, Alice (Rick) Mount and the late Donald Shorter, Teresa Mailhot-Frary and Daryl Shorter. Dear grandfather, great-grandfather and uncle of many. He was a WWII Army Veteran, life time member of the VFW Post #6979, member of Halker-Flege American Legion Post #69 and the Reading Eagles #1095. Charles retired from Teamsters Local #100 and did two terms as Vice President. He will be greatly missed. Family and friends may gather on Monday, November 30, 2015 from 11:30 AM until time of Memorial Service at 1:00 PM at Vorhis and Ryan Funeral Home, 310 Dunn Street, Lockland, Ohio 45215. Inurnment will follow at Reading Cemetery, Reading, Ohio. Family suggests contributions to Hospice of Cincinnati – Blue Ash
