Blake Ogden

UNITED STATES NAVY WWII VETERAN

Blake Wilkes Ogden joined his wife, Edie, in heaven on the morning of October 25, 2018. Blake was 97 years young. He was born in Middletown, NY to Ralph and Hilda Ogden (Fellows) on September 25, 1921. Blake served in the Naval forces during WW II and received a Bachelor and Master degree in Electrical Engineering from Princeton University. Blake was an unparalleled husband, father, brother, granddad, great grandfather, uncle, hiker, camper, card player, golfer, Boy Scout volunteer, and most significantly, a fly fisherman. He was a loyal friend, developing many friendships through a lifetime career with Proctor and Gamble. Blake was at ease everywhere, but especially in the mountains and streams of Montana. He treasured his time with his children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren, plus his nieces and grand nieces in Middletown NY. Blake possessed a contagious smile and a love of puns. He spread joy and laughter like sunshine. He will be long remembered by his children, Barbara Burns (Craig), Tom Ogden, and David Raino-Ogden (Kristine), granddaughters Ellie Pitt (Trevor), Molly Barwick (Clark), Katie Olesen (Bryan), Logan, Liza, and Mira Raino-Ogden, plus great grandchildren Addison, Hadley and Ryder Pitt, Finn Barwick, and Chase and Riley Olesen.
