Bettylu Bryan

Bettylu M. Bryan, 84, passed away peacefully on November 28, 2022, with her family by her side.  Bettylu was born June 9, 1938, in Hackensack, NJ to Jacob and Beatrice Flaker of Wyckoff, NJ.  Beloved wife of William M. for 62 years.  Loving mother of David (Kathleen) Bryan, Barbara (Brent) Kirgiss, and Jeanne (Brian) James.  Devoted grandmother to Steven (Morgan), Tyler, Laura (Sam), Evan, Connor (Maddie), Dylan, (Emma), Sarah (Michael) and Lydia (Grayson).  She was also great-grandmother to Maverick and Hudson.  She is survived by her husband William, brother Jacob (Lois) Flaker and sister Susan Aschoff.  Bettylu attended Ramsey High School in New Jersey and graduated from Berkeley Secretarial School in New York City.  Bettylu was a member of the First Baptist Church in Greenhills, OH; working in many positions of leadership and enjoyed singing in the church choir.  She served as the church secretary at Greenhills for thirteen years.  She enjoyed camping with her family, attending her grandchildren’s school and sporting events, crafts, especially knitting, and computer publishing.  She had a special love for capturing and cataloging her life’s story through photographs, journals, and many written pages of her ancestral history.  Visitation will be held Wednesday, December 7, 2022, from 10:30 AM until time of service at 11:30 AM at First Baptist Church of Greenhills, 11195 Winton Road, Greenhills, OH. Interment at Oak Hill Cemetery, Springdale, OH.
