Betty Lou Harper died at the age of 80 on May 3, 2023. She was born on August 29, 1942 to Thomas Ridener and Bertie Meece Ridener.
Visitation will be held at Vorhis & Ryan Funeral Home, 5501 Montgomery Rd., Norwood, OH 45121 on Friday, May 12, 2023 from 5-7 pm. Funeral service will be held at the funeral home on Saturday, May 13, 2023 at 10 am, with her Nephew Raymond Ridener officiating. Burial will follow in Rest Haven Memorial Park. Following the graveside service, the family invites you to join them for a lunch gathering at The Mound Café, 5226 Montgomery Ave. in Norwood, from 12-3pm. Lunch will provided. This will be an alcohol-free event, in accordance with Betty’s preferences.

She was preceded in death by her husband Gene Harper. Betty is survived by her son Bob Harper, daughter-in-law Lisa Harper, daughter Marsha Patrick, son-in-law Jim Patrick, son Don Harper, and daughter-in-law Crystal Harper. She is also survived by four grandchildren: Erin, Lauren, and Kelly Harper, and Michael (Kelly) Halterman, and by two great-grandchildren: Alyssa and Mason Halterman.
She is also survived by two brothers, Clinton (Mary Lou) and Coy (Trish) Ridener; and two sisters, Nancy Jones of Norwood and Mary Salyers of Somerset, KY. She was preceded in death by her brothers, Ken, Sonny, and Denny Ridener; and by her sisters, Sue Phelps, Marlene Pyles, Brenda Linville, Linda Reed, and Vicki Jones, all of Somerset.
