Betty R. Cooper (nee Trammell) passed away on April 2, 2021 at the age of 89 years. She died after a short battle with Covid 19. Betty was the loving wife of the late Raymond L. Cooper, and the loving mother of her surviving daughters, Teresa (Rick) Donley and Karen Davis. She is also survived by her granddaughters Amanda (Gary) Waechter and Jessica Gilbert, and her great-grandchildren: Abigail, Matthew, Lillian and Zachary Waechter. In addition, she is survived by her sisters, Faye (Elmer) Stephens and Mary Lou Miller. Additionally, she is survived by many loving nieces, nephews and close friends. Betty was also preceded in death by her parents, C.R. and Jallie Trammell (nee Moore); her brothers, Elmer, Charles, Ray and Don Trammell; and her sisters Gladys West, Della Spradlin, Irene Baird, Flora Mae Baird and Martha Henderson. Betty was born on January 17, 1932 in Strunk, Kentucky. She moved to Norwood, Ohio in the early 1950s, where she made her home throughout most of her life. Betty was an active member of the Bethel Baptist Temple.
Public funeral services will be held on Wednesday, April 7, 2021 at 1:30 PM at Vorhis & Ryan Funeral Home, 5501 Montgomery Road, Norwood, Ohio. There will be a private viewing by invitation only for immediate family from 12:30PM – 1:15 PM. Per the family’s request, all Covid-19 restrictions will be strictly enforced (mandatory masks, social distancing, no physical touch). Services will be officiated by the Reverend Larry Cornell. Burial will follow at Rest Haven Cemetery at 3 PM with a procession leaving the funeral home at 2:30PM.
