Betty Sue, passed away on October 23, 2016. She was born March 6, 1935 in Cincinnati, OH to Ulysses and Evelyn (Graves) Boosveld. After graduating in 1953 from Western Hills High School in Cincinnati she attended the University of Cincinnati where she obtained  her Associate Degree. Betty's career focused around medical research , including positions as Endocrinology Research Technologist, Supervisor of the Tissue Culture and Histology Laboratory at Henry Ford Hospital, Detroit, MI, Supervisor of the Tissue Culture Laboratory at the Oregon Regional Primate Research Center, Beaverton, OR and Biochemistry Research Assistant at the University of Cincinnati Medical School. Betty retired from Providence Hospital, Cincinnati, OH where she was the Supervisor of the Histology department. She belonged to many professional organizations throughout her career and was acknowledged in a number of research publications. Her biography was was included in the Who's Who of American Women' Book (16th edition). While Betty was born and raised in Cincinnati, she lived in Beaverton, OR and Detroit, MI prior to re-settling back in Cincinnati. Betty attended Trinity Lutheran Church. She was an avid Cincinnati Reds and Detroit Tigers fan. She loved cats; adopted and rescued many over the years. She was preceded in death by her parents and her life partner Arlene F. Endler. Arrangements are being handled by Vorhis and Ryan Funeral Home in Springdale, OH. There will not be a service. Interment at Spring Grove Cemetery, Cincinnati, OH.
