Amy L. Simpson

SIMPSON, Amy L. (nee (Eickenhorst). Devoted mother of Jamie (Tom) Bentley. Adoring Mimi of William, Sylvia, Frederick, and Henry. Also survived by her beloved dog, Darcy. 

Jesus called Amy home to be with Him on Wednesday, January 22, 2025 at age 72. 

Amy had an unwavering faith in God, a deep commitment to prayer, and love for others—especially her grandchildren, William, Sylvia, Frederick, and Henry. She loved them fiercely, just as she loved everyone blessed to know her. She had a deep love for animals, particularly her rescue dog, Darcy, who was her constant companion and brought her so much joy. Amy had a unique gift for making people feel valued and cared for, and was known for her kind heart, her witty sayings that made everyone smile, and her ministry of encouragement. Through Cancer Hope Ministries at Southbrook Christian Church, Amy faithfully sent cards to those battling cancer, bringing light into their darkest days. Her warmth and compassion left a mark on everyone she met, and her love was truly boundless. She will be deeply missed by all who knew her. 

Visitation will be held at Vorhis & Ryan Funeral Home, 11365 Springfield Pk., Springdale, OH 45246 on Tuesday, January 28, 2025 from 6-8PM. 

Mass of Chirstian Burial will be held at St. Gabriel Church, 48 W. Sharon Rd., Glendale, OH 45246 on Wednesday, January 29, 2025 at 10AM.

Buial will follow at Oak Hill Cemetery.
