Albert Wesley Barrows Sr. Age 104 of Ft. Wright, Kentucky, passed away on May 24, 2021. Albert lived most of his life in Norwood, Ohio.
Albert was born on October 11, 1916 to John Wesley Barrows and Martha Florence Sharp in Lawrenceburg, Indiana.
In 1941 at the start of WWII he joined the United States Army where he earned The Bronze Star Medal for Meritorious Service while fighting in Europe.
In 1942, he met Clara Holding and they wed June 2, 1943 in Joplin, Missouri. After his military service they moved to Norwood, Ohio and he worked at Williamson Company in Cincinnati, Ohio for 52 years before retirement.
Albert was preceded in death by his Wife Clara Barrows (Holding) and Son Albert Wesley Barrows Jr.
He is survived by a Son Donald L. Barrows (Jane) of Indianapolis, IN and a Daughter Martha Carolyn Leidenheimer (Larry). He is also survived by Grandchildren Jeffrey Barrows, Jason Barrows (Lindsay), Allison Lowery (John), Jeff Barrows (Cara), Cathy Barrows, Rebecca Gabriel (Cory), David Barrows, and Matthew Wallace. Also surviving Albert are numerous Great Grandchildren and Great-Great Grandchildren.
Albert was a big fan of sports and never missed a Cincinnati Reds game either on TV or radio.
Funeral Services will be private with burial at Gibson Cemetery in Bright, Indiana.
