Alba Santoro

SANTORO, Alba Rita (nee Garbeglio). Resident of Cincinnati, Ohio. Beloved wife of Aldo Santoro for 58 years. Devoted mother of Robert (Kathy) Santoro, Angela (Christopher) Conners, Laura (William) Woltermann, and Louis (Cheryl) Santoro. Loving Nonna of Daniel & Julia Santoro; Sean Conners & Nicole Conners Canfield; Derrick, Adam & Christina Woltermann; and Aldo, Enzo & Vito Santoro. Preceded in death by her parents, Augusto & Eva (nee Longo) Garbeglio; and siblings, Andrew Garbeglio, Giovanni Garbeglio, Santino Garbeglio, and Maria Galletti. Also survived by siblings, Mario Garbeglio, Luciana Corio, and Teresa Corio. Alba was born in Rome, Italy and came to America in 1962. She was a passionate master seamstress and bridal dress designer. Alba loved her career, which she did proudly alongside her husband Aldo for over 40 years, as the owners and operators of Santoro Custom Tailoring and Bridal. She was a wonderful mother who loved to sing and had an amazing sense of humor. She was deeply loved and will be profoundly missed by her family. Alba passed away on Saturday, November 11, 2017 at the age of 78 years. Visitation will be held at Vorhis & Ryan Funeral Home, 5501 Montgomery Rd., Norwood, OH 45212 on Thursday, November 16, 2017 from 5:00 PM - 8:00 PM. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at Holy Trinity Church, at 2420 Drex Ave. and Montgomery Rd., Norwood, OH 45212 on Friday, November 17, 2017 at 10:30 AM. Procession to Spring Grove Cemetery will immediately follow. Memorial contributions may be made to the Clermont County Senior Center, 2085 James E. Sauls Sr. Dr., Batavia, OH 45103.
